The Goggles of the Season

Now you all know I love to ride Burton boards, but when it come to my goggles I like to stick to Bello. Bello Goggles have been my favorite for years. They are so comfortable on my face, so I have no problem wearing them for hours on end as I ride down the slopes. In fact I have been known to forget to take my goggles off when I am inside...oops. That scenario actually happened this last weekend. Yep you guess it correctly, well you did if you guess that this last weekend marked the start of snowboard season! Being on the snow again was awesome. I am always amazed how easily riding comes back to me, and by my 3rd run I was in the park. Ok enough about my day on the slopes, how is your season going so far?

Music is for Snowboarding

Lets face it...without music snowboarding just wouldn't be as fun. No matter what your listening style you can still be respected on the slopes for being YOU! Whether you are listening to Mates of State, Tech9, or Taylor Swift, if you can throw down some style that is it...No one cares about your tunes. Plus no one else has to hear them, they might care if they did. What do you listen to when you ride? Are you are about the rap, the techno beats, the guilty pleasures? I am more of and indie electronica girl myself, with songs that tend to lean one way or the other. I'll show you my playlist if you show me yours, so go leave those comments! Okay I guess I'll still show you my list. These songs just get me pumped for snowboarding. When I listen to these tracks I can almost feel the wind burning my cheeks as I ride down the hill. I know most of these songs are a couple years old, but you can't go wrong with classics right? Plus I love all the memories I instantly remember when the songs play!

Altrec Sneak Peak Winter Sale!

Altrec is having a Sneak Peak Winter Sale! This means you can get a bunch of your favorite Burton clothing items for up to 70% off...deals like that are hard to pass up. Just hurry up because this sale only last three more days. I already have my stuff picked out and ordered. I ended up getting a whole new Burton outfit, so here it is:

Burton Women's Mischief Down Jacket (50% off)
Who doesn't like a maroon jacket? I want to sand out while I ride down the slopes, but I don't want to be remembered as a big puffy marshmallow. That is why I love the look of this down jacket, because it is soft yet not overly fluffy.
Burton Women's Pendant Pant (50% off)
Ok I have one word to say about these pants...SUSPENDERS!
Burton Women's Baker Undermitt (50% off)
I don't know about you but I am more of a mittens rider. I used to hate them, but in recent years my view has changed and now I don't know what I would do without them! I am really digging these mittens. They have a personality all their own.

The Shred Sled Will Tide You Over Until Snowboard Season Comes

See It!

As snowboard season is slowly approaching I find myself getting more and more restless, so I have been spending more time on my Shred Sled, which I fondly call a wiggle board. The shred sled is similar to the Ripstick, but it has four wheels instead of two and the middle connecting the two feet pads is flexible! To get to the point...it totally feels like you are on your snowboard going down the slope, well other than the fact that your not at a downward slopping angle most of the time. But hey we can look past that can't we? Now you should really check the Shred Sled out!!! What the video below then click on the picture above to get more details (or click HERE).

Burton Boards: What Will You Be Riding?

I want to know what everyone will be riding this up and comming season! You can tell me what you have been riding, will be riding, or what your dream set up would be. Hey if you really want to get creative with it you can tell me them all!

As for me, I've been riding the same set up since early '07 and I am one of those girls who likes to ride the boy boards. In my oppinion they are just made better, and they handle just the way I love to ride. I guess that means I ride like a boy...humm, thats not good for my girly side. Anyways I have an '07 Burton Twin (pictured below) in white and gold with green accents, and Burton Custom bindings that are transparent Green. Did you guess green was my favorite color? Well you would be right if you had.

I am having a hard time deciding if I should get a new board this year of not for a few reasons. One I love my board!!! The design rocks and I have improved so much with it, you could see how that would be hard to let go. If I was to get a new board I would deffinately go with another Burton Twin, but I don't know how well I am going to like riding the channel. What do you think? Does the channel handle better? On a side note...I am really sad of the lack of color on the Burton Twin this year. I mean come on, a black and white board just doesn't photograph well.
